Tomotaka Urasoe
Tomotaka, born in Japan, holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in economics earned in London.
Presently based in Tokyo, he has been actively involved in the international relations of the Japanese Go Association since 2011. Additionally, since 2016, Tomotaka has played a significant role at the IGF headquarters.
In 2017, he delivered a noteworthy lecture about the game of Go at Aoyama Gakuin University in Tokyo. Tomotaka’s contributions extend to his service as the Deputy Secretary General of IGF from 2018 to 2020.
During the challenging times of the COVID era, he shared insights on promoting Go through online platforms in a television interview on NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation) in 2022.
As of 2023, Tomotaka Urasoe holds the position of CEO at the headquarters of IGF and serves as the IMSA Delegate.
