David Xiao

David, an experienced and prominent business leader, possesses expertise in planning and operating large-scale and multinational sports events.

Since 2014, he has been a dedicated member of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games Bid Committee.

From 2019 onwards, David assumed leadership responsibilities for the most significant test events for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. His roles included serving as the Executive Vice President of the Organizing Committee for “Experience Beijing – 2021 FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboard World Championships” and Vice President of the Organizing Committee of Zhangjiakou Competition Zone for “Experience Beijing – A Series Winter Sporting Events.”

In recognition of his outstanding contributions, David Xiao received the “2020 National Sports Outstanding Contribution Award (Individual)” from the General Administration of Sports of China in 2020.

Additionally, the working team of the Winter Olympics Genting Snow Park Venue, under his leadership, was honored with the “Outstanding Contribution Collective Award” by the Central Government of China in April 2022.
